Ultimate Locking Mat:
This mat is designed for lustre, glossy and metallic prints or any type of prints that are prone to slipping. Simply slide your print in from the short side of the mat and the unique locking mechanism inside will lock your print into place and ensure it doesn't slip. No glue or tape is required so it's a massive time-saver. You can also unlock the print and slide it out if you want to re-use the mat.
The Ultimate Locking Mat is available in Black, Ivory and White but the mat contained in the sample pack will be WHITE. A lustre print will also be included so you can test out the locking feature.
Fine Art Mat:
The Fine Art Mat is designed for fine art prints that tend to be thicker than regular prints and also have a naturally grippy texture. These characteristics can make it difficult to use a slip-in style mat such as our Ultimate Locking Mat and our Standard Mats. The open ended design makes it super-easy to position your fine art print and then seal the mat closed with the finger-lift tape. This mat is not designed to be re-usable.
The Fine Art Mat is available in Black, Ivory and White but the mat contained in the sample pack will be BLACK.
Standard Mat:
The Standard Mat can be used for most print types although if using a very thick fine art paper, we would recommend the Fine Art Mat instead. The Standard Mat allows the print to be slipped in from the long side of the mat. It has a different board on the back of the mat and if using with lustre, glossy or metallic prints, you may need to use something like Herma tabs to secure the print and prevent it from slipping.
The Standard Mat is available in Black, Ivory and White but the mat contained in the sample pack will be IVORY.
